Simple Salad

If you love salad as much as I do you’ll love this post something nice and healthy to incorporate into your meals. Salad hold so much nutrition and are really beneficial to the bodies health. From salads such as lettuce, carrot and cucumber your getting a good source of vitamin A and dietary fibre.

Ingredients

Red gem lettuce

Carrot

Cucumber

Method

  • Wash and prepare all of the salads.
  • Place into a pretty bowl and serve.

A Simple Salad

Hi everyone, I hope your week has been good so far!

I just thought I would share a quick, healthy salad recipe if ever you are short of time. I often eat salads alongside my meals to make sure I’m eating a balanced diet and it is always important to reduce the amount of fat, salt and sugar and this salad has none.

Salad Recipe

Ingredients

2 lettuce leaves

1/2 a carrot

1/4 cucumber

Pinch of chilli powder

Pinch of salt

Method

  • Wash and prepare all of you salads and place in a serving bowl.
  • Sprinkle with salt and chilli and serve.

I’ll just have a salad

Hello everyone, welcome back to my blog. If you’ve seen my previous posts you’ll know I’ve posted quite a few salad recipes before because they are healthy, easy to make and look really colourful. Every since I was a kid we have always had salad along with our Sunday dinner and naturally I’ve always enjoyed making it. No cooking is required just the basic skills of peeling, grating and slicing. Over the years I’ve changed the way I prepare it and my current favourite is to grate and cut the salads fairly small then mix everything together. Posting earlier because it’s so warm outside and this is a great side for your dinner, especially in this UK summer heat.

Side Salad Recipe

Ingredients

Lettuce – shredded

Carrot – grated

Raddish – grated

Method

  • Take out the amount you want of each salad, depending on how many people are eating.
  • Wash everything thoroughly and prepare everything, I like to leave the lettuce to dry on a paper towel.
  • Add everything to a bowl and serve alongside your favourite meal.

Remember salads are supposed to be healthy and by adding oils, dressings, croutons and other food item makes it less nutritious overall.

Colourful Salad

Here I have:
– cucumbers halved
– carrots peeled
– lettuce shredded
– radish cut into quarters
– watercress

Mix all the ingredients together and serve on a fancy plate 🙂 Healthy eating is so important so don’t forget your 5 portions of fruit and vegetables each day!

Carrot, Lettuce and Watercress Salad

Every time dinner is getting cooked someone is always preparing a nice salad to go with it. Salad is so important as part of maintaining a healthy balanced diet. Also it’s super tasty and brightens up any meal 🙂

4 cherry tomatoes
1 pack of watercress
1/2 lettuce, shredded
1 carrot, grated

A very simple healthy salad!
