68 things to do during this Lockdown

Hello, everyone! I hope your day is going well. I’ve just had a late lunch whilst watching a Youtube video. I have a post that should be useful for everyone!

I feel like most people have dreamed of a little time away from work and now we finally have it, we should make the most of it because this ‘lockdown’ won’t last forever. When I was told I’d be working from home I decided to make a short list of things to do for myself, and then I decided to make a post for my blog in case anyone was struggling to think of what to do and I think I’ve made a pretty good list. Social distancing is something new to all of us and rather than sit at home worrying about the future, we should make the most of the time we have now. There is no order to this list and I have put spaces in between for easier reading 🙂

1. Put your curtains to wash
2. Rearrange your wardrobe
3. Change your bed more often
4. Clean the windows and window sill
5. Clean your room (hoover and mop the floor, wipe down all the surfaces and everything on them)
6. Have a whole house spring clean and get rid of the clutter
7. Read a book
8. Start a journal
9. Learn to sew
10. Get creative: paint, draw or colour


11. Rearrange the whole house
12. Complete any DIY you’ve been putting off
13. Video call a friend or family member
14. Make meals from scratch and try new dishes
15. Clean out the kitchen cupboards
16. Learn a language using Duolingo
18. Start a blog
19. Dye your hair
20. Start a YouTube channel


21. Set up a weekly cleaning schedule (hoovering, brushing, mopping, wiping, dusting)
22. Practice meditation

My Morning Routine

Hi and welcome back to my blog, today’s post is all about my morning routine. Now that I am working from home, I’m so much more relaxed in the mornings because I don’t have to rush and leave out for work.

I naturally have been waking up quite early, around 6.30am and lay in my bed for a while. It’s like my body doesn’t feel tired at all and I don’t bother trying to go back to sleep. Having a good morning schedule is so important for your day because it sets the tone to how your how day will go. My routine is below, not always in this order but it gives you an idea of how I start my day.

  • Say a mini morning prayer
  • Say affirmations in the mirror
  • Listen to a guided meditation or relaxation music for 10-20 mins
  • Brush my teeth and wash my face
  • Read a few pages of a book (currently: My Sister the serial killer by Oyinkan Braithwaite which I really enjoyed reading because of the twist at the end)
  • Make my bed
  • Workout for 1 hour
  • Get washed
  • Have breakfast

My phone is definitely used during this time to respond to any emails and I might also listen to the radio or put some music on. Starting the day right sets you up for having a positive, productive day and you’ll feel great afterwards.

Back to blogging

Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog, I know it’s been a while and I knew I would come back but I didn’t think it would be because of a virus. This COVID-19 situation has literally effected the whole world and I too am social distancing, “working” from home and only going out to pick up a few things from the shops or for a walk. Also, if possible I am hoping to volunteer in a hospital or do some part time work in a supermarket to help out whilst I can.

I’m back because I now have so much more time on my hands and blogging is a great way to keep us connected in these unusual times. As I’m writing this I have only been social distancing for 11 days and it’s already quite weird, not because I’m a super social person and I go out all the time but because the vibe and energy of life is so different now, the supermarkets are stocked but not full of essentials and if anyone dares to cough or sneeze every head turns in that direction. I guess after a few weeks, staying indoors will become the norm for all of us.

Just to end off, for people finding it really hard just take a moment to close your eyes and take 3 deep breathes, breathing out for one second longer and think about 3 things you are grateful for saying them out loud 

1. I am grateful for my family
2. I am grateful that I am still employed
3. I am grateful for my health

Skincare Routine/Tips

So this is really helpful for people with acne prone skin. 

Here are a few tips:

1. Stop picking your spots

2. Use an oil cleanser no more than once a week

3. Make a homemade face mask for combination skin

4. Use a gentle face wash or soap, the less chemicals to aggravate your skin.

5. Exfoliate your skin again no more than once a week

6. Raw honey face masks are known to settle inflammation and have antibacterial properties 

Lastly, love your skin ♥ ♥ 

Self Confidence 

It’s been a short while ☺ but I’m back!! 

Self confidence is something that develops over time and it may appear quicker in some than others. But don’t worry we’ll all reach a stage in our life when we feel completely confident in ourselves and we just accept (not settle) our bodies, personality, life etc… 

Everyone experiences days where we second guess ourselves and feel as though we are not able to complete a task but it’s the struggles in life that lead us to the fantastic person we become. Everyone’s path is different so never compare yourself ♥ 

Here are some few tips to instantly help you feel more confident:

1. Focus on yourself 

2. Don’t worry about embarrassment or failure 

3. Step out of your comfort zone (no matter how scared you are)

4. Always forgive yourself, don’t put yourself down about bad/negative mistakes forgive yourself and move on 

5. Believe that you are the best

Lastly follow your dreams and never give up x
